Material Overview
Inconel is a nickel alloy containing iron and chromium, with chromium having the highest composition percentage. Inconel alloys are oxidation and corrosion-resistant materials and maintain strength over a wide temperature range. These properties make Inconel attractive for high-temperature applications such as gas burner assemblies and cryogenic storage tanks.

Metal Spinning
Inconel is a challenging material to form using the metal spinning, as it quickly hardens. The hand-spinning process cannot form Inconcel. Inconel hardens very quickly, meaning material grade selection and forming design must be carefully considered to achieve a successful result.
